About Me

Margi Rohde is an artist, spiritual director, workshop facilitator, and ritual designer. As a spiritual director she prefers to work individually with clients walking with them toward greater freedom in their relationships with God. She meets with clients face to face, over skype, and via email as necessary. As a workshop facilitator she designs experiences incorporating contemplative practices, creative expression, and movement. She finds that triad to be especially potent in engaging others in a profound and embodied experience of God.

Margi has designed rituals for those seeking healing from painful events, marking the ending of relationships, or coming to grips with new directions and life changes. She is skilled in developing experiences personally tailored to the needs of her client.

Margi is a visual artist and primarily works in acrylic paint. She incorporates poetry and sacred writings as a deep exploration of God’s movement in her life. She is also a habitual cairn builder (stacked stones) and enjoys encouraging others to explore ways in which the natural environment may be a door through which God encounters them.

A graduate of John F. Kennedy University, Margi holds a Master of Arts in Transformative Arts. Her expression of faith is Christian. She lives in Batavia, Illinois with her husband, Ross. Together they have three grown daughters and four grandchildren. As a family they lived for nearly twenty years in Mexico, Guatemala, and Spain. Margi is fluent in Spanish and has worked with Spanish-speaking clients.
